King Charles and Prince William snubbed by Prince Harry in new book

King Charles and Prince William were left out of the foreword in Prince Harry’s new paperback UK release of Spare.

The original copy of Prince Harry’s memoir, published in 2023, featured a dedication to his wife, children and late mother.

However, the duke decided not to add his brother, Prince William, and father, King Charles, in the paperback edition, released nearly two years later.

The page read: “For Meg and Archie and Lili…and of course, my mother.

The book Spare made headlines when it was first published in January 2023, and it is now being released in a new format.
The contents and cover of the new book are unchanged from the original hardcover edition.
The autobiography sold more than six million copies worldwide and holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest-selling nonfiction book.

Harry explained the title referring to himself as the “spare to the heir.

In the book, the Duke of Sussex said: “There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don’t want the world to know.

“Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me. Now you could argue that some of the stuff I’ve put in there, well, they will never forgive me anyway.”

He also expressed his anger at the UK media, his unresolved trauma over the death of his mother, his mental health struggles, his lonely life before meeting Meghan, and the breakdown of his family relationships.

Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, died when Harry was 12, following a car accident in Paris in 1997 at age 36.

Spare will be published in paperback on October 22 in the US and on October 24 in the UK, the same day as Mike Tindall’s, the husband of Harry’s cousin Zara’s, new book, “The Good, The Bad & The Rugby—Unleashed.”

Harry now lives in California with his wife Meghan and children, Archie, five, and three-year-old Lilibet.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently bought a house in Portugal, returning to Europe after King Charles evicted them from their UK residency, Frogmore Cottage, in 2023.

Prince Harry’s relationship with his brother, the Prince of Wales, and his father, King Charles, has been strained since he stepped down as a senior royal and moved to California.
