Nicola Peltz makes telling statement amid Beckham family fall out – David and Victoria won’t like this

It was the family fallout that sent shockwaves through the showbiz world – when Brooklyn Beckham sensationally turned on his famous parents, David and Victoria, in a blistering public attack back in January.

But whispers of family tension had been swirling long before then, first emerging around Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz’s wedding in April 2022. Although talk of tension eventually cooled – with Nicola appearing to be close to her in-laws – by 2025, the cracks were impossible to ignore.

The couple were notably absent from a string of key Beckham family occasions, including David’s lavish 50th birthday celebrations, while the former footballer and his wife – along with their other children, Romeo,24, Cruz,21, and Harper, 15 – also failed to attend the couple’s vow renewal last August.

By December, the fallout had escalated further, with youngest son Cruz hitting back at claims that his parents had unfollowed Brooklyn. ‘My mum and dad would never unfollow their son,’ he insisted. ‘Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.’

In the weeks that followed, the 27-year-old aspiring chef broke the internet when he released a shocking six-page statement. The eldest Beckham claimed, ‘For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family [with] performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships.’

He continued, ‘Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade.’

Noting that ‘the truth always comes out,’ he claimed his parents had been, ‘trying endlessly to ruin [his] relationship’ with his wife Nicola, 31, since before the couple walked down the aisle.

‘It hasn’t stopped,’ he alleged. ‘My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.’

David and Victoria allegedly ‘repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe’ Brooklyn into ‘signing away the rights to’ his name ahead of the Florida nuptials.

Brooklyn – who now lives in a $16 million mansion in Beverly Hills with his wife – also alleged that the night before the wedding, ‘members of [his] family’ told him that Peltz was ‘not blood’ and ‘not family’.

In the months that followed, Nicola – who is the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz – has kept quiet on the public fallout, until now.

The couple have now stepped back into the spotlight as they attended the 83rd edition of the Venice Film Festival.

The actress, who has appeared in Bates Motel and Transformers: Age of Extinction, was in attendance to receive the Rising Star Award to recognise her work as an actress, screenwriter and producer.

Alongside Brooklyn, she was joined by her parents Claudia and Nelson Peltz as well as older brothers Diesel and Brad.

The couple put on an affectionate display on the red carpet, with Brooklyn planting a kiss on his wife’s cheek as they posed in front of the cameras together.

Nicola ensured all eyes were on her in a dramatic cobalt blue Balenciaga couture gown, which featured a daring cut-out-design across the waist.

As for her husband, he kept things simple in a black tuxedo, which he paired with casual light brown shades.

It was during her acceptance speech that Nicola had some particularly poignant words.

You always believe in me,’ she told her family. ‘To have your support is the reason I can reach to the stars in the first place.’

Visibly nervous as she took to the stage, the star even asked the crowd to ‘Please bear with me’ before launching into her heartfelt tribute.

She then turned her attention to those closest to her, making it clear just how much their support means to her. ‘My family are my everything,’ she said. ‘My mum, dad, Diesel and Brad and Brooklyn thank you.’

Brooklyn later shared a sweet tribute to his wife. To his Instagram he wrote, ‘So so so proud of you baby xx.’

As the feud between the couple and the Beckham family shows no signs of easing, David,51, and Victoria, 52, have not yet released a formal response in regards to Brooklyn’s claims.

However, the former Spice Girl has since spoken out about her efforts to be a supportive parent in the aftermath of the scathing post.

‘We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be,’ she explained. ‘And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.’

When asked about the ‘vicious’ reporting surrounding his family’s alleged ‘strife’ and its impact on those close to him, David responded, ‘To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.’

After several weeks in the US following the World Cup, the Beckham family have tried to take their minds off the heartache of Brooklyn’s estrangement.

Recently, they enjoyed a sun-soaked summer with their children on a month-long cruise around the Mediterranean aboard their luxury £16million super-yacht.

And now, heat are told that the holiday was a welcome distraction for Posh.

‘Jetting around the world with David, watching Cruz play at Reading, supporting Romeo modelling at fashion shows, and having Harper by their side has been wonderful for Vic,’ the source says. ‘To be so close with the rest of the family and be going on all these fun adventures and making memories that will last a lifetime has been much needed, thanks to the pain caused by their feud with Brooklyn.’

But whilst Brooklyn remains firmly at his wife’s side, sources say his absence has been felt deeply by the Beckhams.

‘Nothing has changed,’ our source says. ‘That is to say, neither party has reached out to the other. It’s devastating and, of course, David and Victoria would love nothing more than for their eldest boy to be with them on holiday.’
