Just In: Taylor Fritz’s Influencer Ex-Girlfriend Makes a Surprise US Open Appearance, Bringing Her Blunt Past Confession Back Into the Spotlight and Leaving Tennis Fans Stunned
Taylor Fritz and Morgan Riddle called time on their six-year relationship earlier this year, but that hasn’t stopped her from enjoying the US Open. The social media influencer had one of the best seats in the house to watch Novak Djokovic’s shock five-set defeat to Mariano Navone on day one of the tournament, and documented her trip on Instagram.
The 29-year-old English literature graduate spent years sitting in Fritz’s box alongside the rest of his team and cheered him on across the globe, from his 2024 US Open final to his title runs on the south coast in Eastbourne. While she’s no longer in his corner, she’s still enjoying the tennis.
Riddle took a snap of her caviar-topped chicken nuggets from COQODAQ – one of the fan favourites at the US Open, despite its £74 ($100) pricetag – and Honey Deuce from her seat by the side of Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday night, and added the song ‘Daddy’s Home’, likely referencing her return to Flushing Meadows.
The social media star documented her move to New York following her split from Fritz earlier this year, so it’s no surprise that she’s headed over to Flushing Meadows. Riddle often works with brands during the American hard-court Grand Slam, and even while she was dating Fritz, she had her own business to take care of at the US Open.
And that’s no different this summer. Riddle has already been involved in brand activations across the city, including an event with Naomi Osaka, in partnership with Olly Wellness. She also shot a social media advert for 7Up, and donned the brand’s green jacket while at the US Open.
Following her split from the ATP No. 10, Riddle shared her plans to attend the US Open and confirmed that she wouldn’t be leaving tennis behind during an appearance on the Hot Smart Rich podcast. “I still am going to go to tournaments,” she said.
“I would still love to make content around tennis. I already have deals for the US Open, I’m going to the US Open. It’s not like I’m erased from that world. Obviously, I’m going to enter into it in a different way, but I’ve had a lot of girls reach out and be like, ‘Please don’t leave the tennis world. We still want this sort of content and commentary around it’.”
Riddle also founded The 400 Club, a platform space for female sports fans, with Cherry Beagles. They hosted a Formula 1 watch party in London earlier this year and have helped sports officials develop strategies for female fans.
