- Carlos Alcaraz has been the subject of countless relationship rumors over the years, many of which were never confirmed or were debunked.
- In a February 2023 interview with Vogue, he alluded to having gone through a breakup in 2021.
- Model Brooks Nader was reportedly seeing Alcaraz in late 2025, but revealed she was single in March 2026.
Carlos Alcaraz may be in the spotlight as a tennis champion, but off the court, he keeps his love life under wraps.
The 22-year-old star, who ended the 2025 season ranked No. 1 in the world by the ATP, has sparked romance rumors with a few celebrities in the sports world and beyond. As of March 2026, however, he’s publicly single.
Alcaraz previously opened up about how the constant traveling that comes with being a professional athlete makes it difficult to date—to stay at the top of his game, his life is “tennis, tennis, and more tennis,” he told Vogue in 2023. “It’s complicated, never staying in one place,” he added while explaining his single status to the outlet. “It’s hard to find the person who can share things with you if you’re always in different parts of the world.”
Nevertheless, the Murcia, Spain native has been the subject of countless rumors about who his girlfriend is, as fans yearn for a Challengers-style romance between the prodigy and fellow players like his US Open mixed doubles partner, Emma Raducanu. (Spoiler alert: she said they’re “just good friends” in a 2025 Wimbledon press conference.)
Ahead, learn more about Carlos Alcaraz’s rumored dating history and which supposed relationships were disproved.
Maria González Giménez
In 2022, Alcaraz sparked romance rumors with a fellow athlete named Maria González Giménez. Neither party confirmed their relationship, but Alcaraz alluded to a breakup in his February 2023 Vogue profile. He told the outlet he’d been single for 18 months, seemingly debunking the notion that he’d dated Giménez the year prior.
The Grand Slam winner reiterated his single status in July 2024, when asked by The Times if he was in a relationship. “No, I am single,” he said. “I am looking for someone. It can be difficult as a tennis player to meet the right person because you are traveling all the time.”
Emma Raducanu
Fast forward to 2025, and Alcaraz once more had the rumor mill whirring. Playing with Emma Raducanu at the 2025 US Open as mixed doubles partners led to a flurry of social media posts shipping the pair (per ESPN) and headlines wondering if “the hottest rumour [sic] on the tennis circuit” was true.
Raducanu, who grew up playing on the same circuits as Alcaraz, ended the speculation in June 2025 by confirming that the pair are just friends.
She told The Guardian of partnering with Alcaraz, “It is nice and I think, for all of us [tennis players], we really value those connections that we had from when we were young. Because when you become a bit more known or a bit more successful, you just find yourself reverting back to people you knew from a young age and because that’s a real genuine connection, because it becomes very busy and you have a lot more friends – but the ones that you’ve known for a long time mean a lot more to you.”
During a Wimbledon press conference the same month, she reiterated when asked directly if they were dating: “We’re just good friends.”
By late 2025, another name began popping up around Alcaraz: reality TV star Brooks Nader. The 29-year-old model’s sister, Grace Ann Nader, addressed the rumors in a September 2025 interview with E!, saying, “The rumors are true. Dating is such a loose term. But I do know he’s the man of the hour.” She added that she was “dying to” meet Alcaraz and called him a “cutie.”
Brooks herself spoke out about the rumored relationship during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live the same month. “A lady never kisses and tells, especially twice. That’s just not nice,” she said, referring to rumors that she was also romantically involved with Jannik Sinner, who’s ranked No. 2 in the world behind Alcaraz in men’s tennis. She added that she was hesitant to label anything. “Dating is such a loose term these days. I don’t know. By the way, my only thing is, guys do it all the time, so why can’t I do it?”
Two months later, Alcaraz was asked by a reporter if he was free or taken, referring to his relationship status.
“No, I’m free. I’m free. I’m free,” he said with a laugh. In March 2026, Nader revealed she was not seeing anyone either. “I am single,” she told ET while promoting her role in a forthcoming Baywatch reboot series. “As of right now, I’m single…I am locked into the role, so right now, that’s the update.”
