Just In: Coco Gauff’s Father Leaves Fans Amused with His One-Word Reaction as Candi Receives the Spotlight for Their Children’s Athletic Success
While Coco Gauff is making her prospects as one of the star players in the professional tennis circuit, her brother Codey is making strides on the baseball field, with the siblings bringing honor to their parents. Gauff’s father, Corey, recently reacted to his wife, Candi, receiving the credit for their children’s impressive athletic skills.
Candy received the credits after the American tennis player’s brother, Codey, executed an impressive performance at the MLB Draft Combine, where he served as a switch-hitting catcher. Born on Sept. 21, 2007, Codey later played baseball with Elite Squad Academy. He committed to the University of Missouri in October 2024. After his impressive stint at the MLB Draft, the MLB Pipeline shared a few glimpses of Codey’s spell and wrote:
“The switch-hitting catcher is carving his own path while following in the athletic footsteps of his big sister, Coco.”
One of the fans gave credit for his striking athleticism to his mother, writing:
“Mama Gauff is the ONE.”
To which Gauff’s father, Corey, jokingly replied:
“Damn,” and added a laughing with teary-eyed emoji.
Coco Gauff comes from an athletic background. While her father was a basketball player at Georgia State University, her mother was on the track and field team at Florida State University. Gauff’s youngest brother, Cameron, played multiple sports, including tennis and football.
