Just In: Tennis Fans Keep Laughing as Andy Murray Makes a Shocking Confession About Why He Hates Pickleball
Pickleball, as per Andy Murray, is good for socializing, but beyond that, he can’t understand the craze for this game. Pickleball is rapidly growing, especially in the United States, but many tennis players are not at all fans of it, including the three-time Grand Slam champion.
Murray is currently in Washington as he has extended his coaching partnership with Jack Draper. During the pre-tournament press conference of the Citi Open, he revealed his true feelings about pickleball.
Murray hung up his racket at the 2024 Paris Olympics. And in about four months, he joined Novak Djokovic‘s team as his coach. Under his former rival, the 24-time Grand Slam champion reached the semifinals of the 2025 Australian Open and the final of the Miami Open the same year. The partnership lasted for just six months.
Murray’s second coaching job is with Draper. Initially, they joined hands only for the grass swing but chose to extend it till the US Open.

Jack Draper‘s arm injury flared up once again, this time at the Citi Open. Draper, who withdrew from the remainder of the 2025 season after winning the first round of the US Open, returned to the tour in Dubai.
He
competed in Indian Wells and Miami and also the Barcelona Open, where he retired mid-match in the first round. Draper did not play another tournament before the Eastbourne International on the grass swing.
His defeat to Ugo Humbert in the semifinal of the Eastbourne event was the last time Draper was seen in action, because he was scheduled to play both Wimbledon and the Citi Open, but the arm injury forced him to skip them.These last months have felt like nothing but adversity and setbacks. Most days I’ve spent in doubt, yet hopeful that I can keep taking positive steps forward and finding ways to progress. On days off, I reflect, and I’m only grateful for the struggle and what it’s teaching me.

Last year, Draper made three finals. He lost the Qatar Open to Andrey Rublev and the Madrid Open to Casper Ruud, but won the Indian Wells Masters by defeating Holger Rune.

Because of his withdrawal, it’s uncertain whether he will compete at the US Open. It was in New York back in 2024 that the Brit produced his best Grand Slam performance. He reached the semifinals and lost the match to eventual champion Jannik Sinner.
This year, if Carlos Alcaraz plays at the US Open, he will be bidding to defend his title (he defeated Sinner last year). Alcaraz hasn’t yet played since the first round of the Barcelona Open because of a wrist injury, skipping both the French Open and Wimbledon.
