BREAKING: Great News for Aryna Sabalenka as She Becomes the Tenth Female Tennis Player in History to Spend 100 Weeks as World No. 1.”

Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus has reached a significant milestone, becoming the tenth female player in WTA history to hold the No. 1 ranking for at least 100 weeks.

Belgian tennis star Justine Henin is ninth on this list, having spent 117 weeks at the top. The record holder is German player Steffi Graf, who maintained the No. 1 ranking for 377 weeks.

At present, Aryna has not yet solidified her lead in the tour rankings. Sabalenka leads her nearest rival, Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina, by 407 points. The next tournament following Wimbledon will be the WTA 1000 event in Toronto, scheduled from August 2nd to 13th. Last year, Aryna did not participate in this tournament, whereas Elena advanced to the semi-finals.

The 2026 Canadian tournament will also include players such as Iga Swiatek, Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff, Mirra Andreeva, Amanda Anisimova, Elina Svitolina, and Karolina Muchova. The reigning champion, Victoria Mboko, will miss the event due to injury.
