BREAKING NEWS: Royal Fans Left Stunned as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie Are Heartbroken After Considering Leaving the Royal Family
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie may have to each give up their royal property.
A source tells Examiner that Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, are being encouraged to leave their royal residences amid the ongoing controversy with their father, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, as his connection to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is scrutinized.
“Beatrice and Eugenie have both worked so hard to keep their heads down and not make any trouble,” the source explains. “They haven’t defended themselves against all these attacks on them because that was the directive of the palace.”
“It was, however, understood that in exchange for that loyalty and obedience, they would be allowed to hang on to their royal residences,” the source continues. “They find it pretty appalling that after they’ve followed all the rules, they’d now be getting the rug pulled like this and have been appealing to everyone possible for help in getting this witch hunt against them called off.”
However, the source says “nothing has been working” for the two sisters and they’re at the point where they feel the walls are caving in.”
The source notes that “on top of their homes being on the chopping block,” Beatrice and Eugenie are dealing with questions and concerns “about their own financial practices.”
“Nothing’s stuck against them, but they’re no doubt petrified that at some point they’ll be cancelled,” the source adds.
Beatrice’s royal residence is an apartment inside St James’s Palace. As for Eugenie, she has Ivy Cottage, which is on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
National Audit Office recently released a report revealing that Beatrice and Eugenie — both non-working royals — don’t pay any rent. Rather, the heavily discounted rent is covered by King Charles III’s private funds, according to an article written in The Times on Friday, June 5.
As Examiner previously reported, Andrew, 65, moved out of the Royal Lodge in February. He now resides at the family’s private Sandringham estate.
On February 19, the ex-prince was arrested due to allegations that he shared confidential information with Epstein when he worked as a trade envoy. He was released that same day and was not charged with a crime. The former Duke of York has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
