BREAKING: Royal Fans left confused as Andrew shockingly accused Eugenie’s husband of using his daughter against him
Andrew’s scandals are not getting smaller. In fact, the former prince, who was first arrested for suspicion of misconduct in public office, is now reportedly also being investigated for sex crimes. That’s probably no surprise to anyone who’s followed the news and Andrew’s close ties to Epstein in the past decade or so.
Now, many people are scrutinizing the relationship he has with the wider royal family, including his daughters. RadarOnline is reporting he made a “shockingly egotistical move” during his daughter Princess Eugenie’s wedding that left her future husband, Jack Brooksbank, deeply uneasy.
The ceremony took place at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on October 12, 2018. At the time, Andrew was still a working royal, but his ties to Epstein were already being widely reported. The outlet reported, “There were definitely people at the time who thought Andrew was determined to make Eugenie’s wedding feel every bit as grand and important as the weddings of more senior royals. But critics felt his idea to mount a procession in its honor reflected his own runaway ego and obsession with status rather than what his daughter and husband actually wanted. It was a shockingly egotistical move.”
Another insider said, “Jack was worried the spectacle risked looking overblown. Andrew has always been extremely conscious of rank, ceremony, and public attention, and some people inside royal circles felt he pushed too hard for the wedding to have the feel of a major state occasion.”
Royal biographer Hugo Vickers discussed the 2018 wedding of Eugenie and Brooksbank in his book Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History . He wrote: “On 12 October 2018, Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank in St George’s Chapel. This was a happier wedding.”
“It did not garner as much publicity, and the Duke of York was irked that it would not be filmed for the major networks, though he persuaded a company to capture it,” he added. “The groom was alarmed that Prince Andrew insisted on a procession through Windsor, fearing that no one would be there to cheer them. But Windsor loves a procession and there was a good turnout.”
All of this comes after RadarOnline reported that Eugenie didn’t even tell Andrew about her new pregnancy herself. “Andrew found out that he was to be a grandpa again via Sarah,” a source told the Daily Mail, with the outlet saying Eugenie hasn’t talked to his father since he was stripped of his titles in October 2025.
Sources said about the relationship between Andrew and his daughter, “He was never a hands-on father, was away a lot and took little interest in their private lives,” adding, “He only took a real interest in Eugenie’s wedding when he wanted to take center stage, demanding it be as grand as Harry and Meghan’s six months earlier. He harangued broadcasters until one of them agreed to televise it.”
And Eugenie now reportedly wants nothing to do with Andrew. The Daily Mail recently reported that Eugenie has “cut off” her father and is “refusing to speak to Andrew and did not visit him at Christmas,” with another source saying, “There is no contact at all, nothing. It’s Brooklyn Beckham level – she has completely cut him off.”
Reportedly, Beatrice “is trying to walk the fine line of not cutting her father off and yet remaining close with the Royal Family. They aren’t exactly in regular and close contact at the moment, but Eugenie isn’t trying to walk that line. She’s not speaking to him.
