King Charles lands in big trouble over Andrew: ‘Extremely delicate’ position

King Charles is apparently landed in new trouble as the Palace is in an “extremely delicate” position amid former Duke of York Andrew’s scandal.

According to a report by The I PAPER, the monarch faces an impossible dilemma if asked to help pay his brother’s criminal legal fees.

The insiders have said the Palace is in an “extremely delicate” position, needing to balance Andrew’s right to legal advice alongside the King’s role as head of state.

Not least because any prosecutions in the UK are brought in the name of the monarch.

“What puts the King in an impossible position is if there is a pressure on him to assist Andrew financially with legal fees,” the close confidant says.

The source said the monarch’s “overwhelming priority” was for the investigation to run its course.

The source says, “If circumstances arose where [Andrew] could not meet his bills then there would be a case for the King to consider helping ensure his brother has access to advice and representation. At the end of the day, everyone is entitled to a lawyer.”

The fresh claims came a day after the senior officials said British police investigation into Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will be long and complex.

King Charles’ younger brother was interviewed under caution for hours by detectives after he was arrested at his home in Norfolk in February following the release of millions of documents by the U.S. Department of Justice relating to Jeffrey Epstein.
