Just In: Two royals who convinced King to freeze out Andrew – not Prince William

Princess Catherine and Queen Camilla reportedly “joined forces” to convince King Charles to freeze out Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Andrew has fallen from grace over connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his arrest – and release under investigation – on suspicion of misconduct in public office earlier this year.

Speaking about his new royal book, Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen, royal author Christopher Andersen referred to the role the Princess played in ousting the former Duke of York. He told the Daily Express: “Kate was the first royal to turn her back on Andrew over his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein. She refused to speak to him even during Royal Family holidays, and explicitly barred Andrew from her Together at Christmas concerts at Westminster Abbey.

When Andrew asked if he could simply slide in through a side door and watch ‘discreetly,’ Kate said no. She didn’t want his face somehow being caught on camera.

added: “Kate, more than anyone, has an eye on the future of the monarchy, and she was the first to appreciate just how much sleaze Andrew was raining down on the Palace.

“Kate is in a unique position as the wife of one future sovereign and the mother of another. Kate does not want either William or George inheriting a badly dented crown.

“Early in the game, William and Kate both lobbied behind the scenes to have Andrew stripped of his title and booted to the sidelines.”

Speaking of the key royal seemingly teaming up with Catherine, he added: “Camilla, who has been a champion of battered women for over a decade, was something of an unlikely ally in this endeavour.

Camilla and Kate joined forces to convince King Charles to pull the plug on Andrew’s future as a member of the Royal Family.”

Recently speaking about Camilla and Catherine, the author alleges, “Camilla had campaigned for more than a decade against domestic violence and the sexual abuse of women, and Kate told friends she was physically ‘sickened’ by the damage Andrew’s actions were doing to the institution her children would one day inherit.”

Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
