Kensington Palace shares exciting news about Kate Middleton after Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy announcement

Kensington Palace has shared an exciting news about Princess of Wales Kate Middleton two days after the royal family confirmed Princess Eugenie is pregnant with third child.

The royal family, on behalf of King Charles, announced “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.

“His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”

Following the delightful news, Kensington Palace has shared a major update on Kate Middleton.

Royal expert Richard Palmer took to X, formerly Twitter handle and shared the palace announcement.

He tweeted, “The Princess of Wales will travel abroad next week on official duties for the first time since facing cancer. She will visit Reggio Emilia on May 13 and 14 to learn about the Italian city’s pioneering approach to early childhood development.

Kate will carry out a two-day visit to Reggio Emilia in northern Italy, as part of her work focusing on early childhood development, the central theme of her public work.

“The princess is very much looking forward to visiting Italy next week and seeing first-hand how the Reggio Emilia approach creates environments where nature and loving human relationships come together to support children’s development,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson said.

Kate revealed in 2024 that she was undergoing chemotherapy for an unspecified form of cancer, and said last year she was in remission.

The Princess last carried out an official overseas visit in December 2022 when she went to Boston, USA, with the Prince of Wales for his Earthshot Prize award ceremony.

She also undertook two brief trips to Marseille, France, for the Rugby World Cup in the autumn of 2023, and went to the Crown Prince of Jordan’s wedding in Amman in June 2023 but these were not considered by her royal household to be official foreign tours.
