Just In: Princess Eugenie ‘in trouble’ after sharing Unwanted photo in ‘off limits’ area
Princess Eugenie previously revealed that she got “in trouble” for sharing a picture of her father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in an “off limits” area at Buckingham Palace. The 66-year-old was seen beaming as he stood in an “off limits” area at the palace at his first Trooping the Colour as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards in 2018.
At the time that she posted the picture, Eugenie, who is currently expecting her third child, was just months away from marrying her now-husband Jack Brooksbank. The picture was liked by more than 50,000 fans at the time.
In a rare joint interview with her older sister, Princess Beatrice, for British Vogue, the 36-year-old said: “I recently got in trouble for posting a picture of Papa in a corridor of the palace that was off-limits to the public.”
Colonel of the Grenadier Guards was a title that Andrew held at the time. It is one of the most senior infantry regiments in the British Army.
In a statement shared on May 4, Buckingham Palace shared that Eugenie and Jack’s third child will arrive this summer.
The official statement read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.
“August (aged five) and Ernest (aged two) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family. His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.
The picture shared alongside the statement showed August and Ernest holding the scan picture of their new sibling.
The baby, who will not be an HRH, will be born 15th in line to the throne – following their two older brothers.
He or she will also be the 15th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II – and the third to be born since her death in 2022.
