BREAKING: Andrew and Sarah Ferguson Hit With ‘Devastating News’ As They Finally Scattered Everything Into Pieces
The once unbreakable bond between Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson has been “shattered beyond repair” in the fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, according to sources. The former prince’s relationship with his ex-wife remained close following their divorce in 1996, and they lived together in Royal Lodge in Windsor for decades before being jointly evicted last year. Now, with Andrew post-arrest and hiding out on the Royal Family’s Sandringham estate and Sarah traced to a £2,000-a-night chalet in the Austrian Alps, the pair reportedly harbour a “deep-rooted suspicion” of each other.
Sarah has faced calls to speak to US authorities about the convicted sex offender who was the downfall of her ex-husband after the release of millions of documents associated with Epstein shed new light on their relationship. However, the “paranoia” that now defines their relationship is primarily linked to fears on both sides of unsavoury personal details seeing the light of day in respective “tell-all revenge memoirs”, insiders said.
A source close to the ex-couple told Radar Online: “What has unfolded between them goes far beyond a simple cooling-off period – there is now a deep-rooted suspicion shaping every interaction.
“Both apppear acutely aware that the other holds years of shared history that could, if made public, be framed in ways that are uncomfortable or even reputationally damaging.
“That awareness has bred a kind of mutual paranoia, where even private conversations are weighed against how they might one day be interpreted or diclosed.”
Andrew and Sarah’s once easy rapport has also been damaged beyond repair by “resentment and unspoken blame” over their respective ties to Epstein, which have seen them stripped of royal titles and honours, another source said.
The pair have not been seen together since attending the christening of their granddaughter Athena, the child of Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in December.
They were both named numerous times in the recently-released Epstein files, the US Department of Justice’s document dump relating to the convicted sex offender.
Andrew was arrested on his 66th birthday in February on suspicion of midsconduct in public office following allegations he shared sensitive information with Epstein during his time as the UK’s trade envoy.
He has denied any wrongdoing over his links to Epstein but has not directly responded to the latest allegations.
