Princess Catherine makes ‘very clear’ move to protect George: ‘Never wanted to be a slave’
Prince George is inching closer to his teen years and with this new chapter approaching steadily, that too in the summer on July 22 there is a tense issue plaguing their family home.
News of this has been brought to light by royal expert Richard Palmer, and he spoke to The Mirror while attempting to explain how hard it is for the Prince and Princess of Wales when it comes to prioritizing a ‘normal’ childhood for their future King.
Mr Palmer even said, “Kate has made it very clear that while her children are school age, they will be her priority, and she has absolutely stuck to that.”
He also adds, “she has never wanted to be a slave to the demands of the royal household, and she considers looking after her children and her relationship with her husband as more important.”
As for the heir apparent, William the agreement is there, to an extent”.
“Although he obviously has different responsibilities in terms of his duties as future king. But he feels like his childhood suffered because of the demands of royal life, and the scrutiny they all came under, so he’s trying to protect his own family from that,” the source adds. “They are lucky in that they have the machinery of the royal family to protect them.”
Royal expert and author Katie Nicholl also highlighted this machinery, and lauded them for their perfect hybrid of royal and so-called normal influence because of its efforts in “preparing them incredibly well for their futures.”
Not only because not only do they have the opportunity to “just run around in the gardens and enjoy all the normal pastimes away from royal duty with the Middleton’s,” but “they get the best of both worlds because they have a very engaged grandfather in Charles too.” Especially since he loves spending time with them, “and it means George, in particular, is getting all that tutelage from him first hand, which is exactly what William had with the late Queen.”
