15 Minutes Ago: Beatrice and Eugenie have just been hit with ‘Worst News’ – and this is just the start
As Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor lays low in luxury at Sandringham and Sarah Ferguson relaxes at an Irish wellness retreat, their daughters are copping the flak for their relationship with vile paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. And a new edict from ‘The Firm’ about the Royal Family’s regular trip to Royal Ascot will only deepen the mood for besieged Princesses Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35.
The sisters – both married mothers of two young children – have been thrown under the bus by their parents’ shockingly deep and intertwined relationship with US financier Epstein. The Epstein Files has revealed millions of old emails belonging to the convicted pervert that the US Department of Justice recently made public.
It revealed that in 2009 the princesses agreed to fly with their mum Sarah Ferguson to the US to meet Epstein for lunch as he finished his prison sentence for procuring a 14-year-old girl for prostitution.
Thanks to Fergie’s shameless greed in repeatedly demanding upgrades on her freebie flights paid for by Epstein, the sisters are mentioned a number of times in the Files.
Then, Fergie humiliated Eugenie again by gossiping to a no doubt thrilled Epstein how the then 19-year-old was away on a “sha**ing weekend.”
Princess Eugenie had just started dating her now-husband, Jack Brooksbank, with whom she shares two children.
Now the sisters have been left adrift by dear old ma and pa, and dealt yet another bitter blow that will only further mortify them.
The princesses have been told they cannot join the Royal Family at Royal Ascot this year – amid concerns about the unfolding scandal involving the House of York.
Sources say the sisters will not take their seats in the Royal Box at June’s prestigious horse racing event, nor can they join senior royals for the Royal Procession.
This has reportedly “completely blindsided” the sisters, who are still reeling from their father’s arrest last month on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
This could be just the first of many public exclusions the pair will have to endure after high-level Palace meetings about the role they should play amid questions over the extent of their relationship – personal and financial – with Epstein.
There are no indications of any wrongdoing by the sisters, nor are they accused of any.
But mud sticks – and right now Andrew and Fergie are covered head to toe like a pig in a boggy field.
A well-placed source has claimed: “Beatrice has taken it the hardest. She’s been completely blindsided by all of this.”
Meanwhile Prince William is also said to have advised other Royals not to appear in photographs alongside the pair “for the rest of the year”.
Notably, William and Kate were careful to avoid being photographed walking alongside the Princesses at the royals’ Christmas Day church service at Sandringham.
Being excluded from Royal Ascot is a major blow to the Princesses as both adore horse racing and the society event of the year. Their social circle is ever decreasing.
To tweak Philip Larkin’s 1974 poem ‘This be the verse’: “They mess you up, your mum and dad. They may not mean to, but they do.
“Now Andrew and Fergie are lying low, and left the princesses in their stew.
