Prince William and Kate Middleton penned a personal note for a special figure to the royal family after receiving upsetting news about their death.
The Prince and Princess of Wales released a statement in solidarity with King Charles as he honoured âa truly special human beingâ in an emotional message of his own.
âWe are deeply saddened by the passing of Manfred Goldberg,â the statement from the Waleses read. âHaving joined him on a visit to Stutthof, we witnessed first-hand his extraordinary strength, grace and dedication to sharing his story.â

They continued, âHis tireless work to educate young people about the Holocaust will never be forgotten.â
It was signed off with âW & Câ indicating that the message came directly from William and Catherine.
Manfred, who was made an MBE by the King in September for his services to Holocaust remembrance and education, died at age 95, as reported on Friday.
The King expressed his condolences in a heartfelt note released by Buckingham Palace. He praised the survivor and shared how it âmeant more to me than I can ever say to have been able to wish the fondest of farewells, a few weeks agoâ at the investiture ceremony.
He noted that it was his âgreatest privilege and joy to have known himâ and sent prayers to his grieving familyâ.
William and Kate joined the monarch in his grief with kind words, solidifying the stance that they stand together after finally closing the chapter of disgrace and humiliation with Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
