Sarah Ferguson delivered final verdict: ‘Inexcusable’

Sarah Ferguson’s problems are not going away anytime soon, as the famous British star delivered a brutal snub to the Duchess of York amid the Epstein email scandal.
The Duchess of York has been receiving backlash since her private message to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein leaked in the media.
Despite expressing her deep regrets, a number of charities to which she was associated cut ties with Fergie.
Now, Prince Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s mother suffered a humiliating blow after Natalie Dormer, an actress who is portraying the Duchess in ITV and Britbox‘s upcoming drama series The Lady, stepped back from promoting the show.
Notably, The Lady is based on Jane Andrews, who worked with Sarah Ferguson before she was charged with the murder of her boyfriend Thomas Cressman in 2001.
Natalie told Variety that it is “inexcusable” for her to promote a role which goes against her values.
She said, “When I agreed to take the role in ‘The Lady,’ I knew portraying the script’s Sarah Ferguson would require nuance. People are layered, their journeys are full of highs and lows, and as an actor, my job is to lean into those elements and bring them to life with honesty and empathy.”
She added, “Since completing the project, new information has come to light that makes it impossible for me to reconcile my values with Sarah Ferguson’s behaviour, which I believe is inexcusable. For that reason, I will not be taking part in the promotion of the project.”
Notably, the British actress announced that she has donated her salary for portraying the role of Sarah Ferguson to the National Association for People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC) and the Centre of Expertise on Child Sexual Abuse in a bid to respect her commitment towards the well-being of children.
