Princess Kate may be one of the most popular members of the Royal Family after marrying Prince William in 2011, however she wasn’t always the most popular during her teenage years.
According to The Daily Mail, the princess, 42, had to move schools when she was 14 after she became a victim of bullying at Downe House in Berkshire
She moved to Marlborough College, a school now reportedly being considered for Prince George’s future, where she then began to flourish.
The Daily Mail reported that Kate’s former form mate Gemma Williamson said that when Kate arrived at the school she had “very little confidence” as a result of the previous bullying experience she had.
Kate’s house tutor Joan Gall also said she was suffering from eczema due to stress, according to the newspaper
She said: “When she arrived she was very quiet. Coming into a big school like Marlborough was difficult, but she settled in quickly.
“It was like a big, happy family. We would do things like bake cakes and watch videos.”
Kate appeared to be happy at Marlborough, with the princess reportedly returning last year to check out the school as a potential option for her eldest son Prince George.
The mum-of-three also visited Eton College last year, which could also be an option for the young prince if he follows in the footsteps of his father Prince William.
While claims that the princess was bullied have been made by various sources, Princess Kate has never spoken out about her experiences before.
One royal expert, who is also the author of Kate: The Future Queen, Katie Nicholls said: “Certainly I have no knowledge of any serious bullying at all.
“But there’s what everyone calls bullying, and there’s actual, real, miserable bullying where someone had a dreadful time. That certainly didn’t happen.
