Palace reveals Prince William’s plan for next 5 years over crucial matter
Prince William delivered a powerful keynote speech at the biggest summit held for United for Wildlife (UfW) Global Summit in Cape Town, South Africa on Tuesday.
The Palace shared an update from the ceremony held and highlighted the important cause that the future king intends on carrying forward.
In a carousel post shared onto the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official social media, a video clip from William’s speech where he emphasised how the “power of partnership” over the last decade made it possible to combat the global challenge of illegal wildlife trade.
In the caption shared alongside the glimpses of the summits, the Palace underlined William’s plans for the next five years, “What happens over the next five years, especially in relation to stopping the illegal wildlife trade, is crucial for the future of life on Earth.”
Experts and global leaders had gathered for the summit highlight the progress of the royal charity, United for Wildlife, which is supported by the Prince and Princess of Wales.
“We must continue to work together at pace to raise awareness, target, disrupt and prevent cases of illegal wildlife trade around the globe,” the Palace statement continued.
“South Africa is a world leader in disrupting illegal wildlife trade, and today’s showcase is about recognising the incredible work taking place here and across the continent.”
