Pair Struggle: Prince William was ‘tempted’ by other woman during outrageous SP…
Prince William chased other women during his split with Kate Middleton when the pair struggled with distance shortly after rekindling their love whilst studying at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland together, according to a Royal ‘expert’.
Initially they met at Malborough College before finding their love again at university, however it was upon graduation and their pursuit of their respective careers that the Prince began to question whether their union was right for him.
The son of King Charles III had signed up to the military whilst the now Princess of Wales had moved to London to work as an accessories buyer, and the distance began too much for William who split up with his girlfriend through a 30 minute phone call.
It was after this that he is said to have began to chase Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, whom he met on vacation in Greece although she was not too eager of the idea of marrying into the Royal Family.
“Despite being single at the time of William and Catherine’s break-up, Isabella was apparently unkeen on becoming a royal girlfriend,” Robert Jobson writes in ‘Catherine, Princess of Wales’, as per the Daily Mail. “Feeling it would limit her career prospects as an actress.
“This did not cool William’s ardor: he reportedly tried to woo Isabella, visiting her several times at her family home. Despite his evident crush, she apparently rebuffed his advances. Few could have predicted that he’d return to Catherine – or that she’d ever agree to take him back…”
Eventually, Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe married the son of Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin conglomerate that offers television, internet, airflights and trips to space, with whom she now has two children.
Meanwhile, Prince William reunited with Middleton and the pair have produced three children since tying the knot in 2011 in what has developed into a strong married through some serious tests over the years, including her diagnosis of cancer in January.
How did Middleton react to break-up?
The break-up, which took place in 2007, saw William head out partying to celebrate his “freedom” from the confines of monogamy and a relationship but Middelton saw no cause for immediate joy.
The 42-year-old reacted by heading to Dublin in the Republic of Ireland to find comfort with her mother before rallying around her sister until the sororal siblings took to the clubbing scene themselves to help her get over the split.
