Let It Blow Over: Kate Middleton and King Charles Prefer to ‘Never Explain Over…

King Charles III and Catherine, Princess of Wales, will reportedly not pursue legal action against claims of “racism” against them in Omid Scobie’s Endgame.

“The King has bigger fish to fry. It’s only a book. It’s a classic case of ‘Don’t explain or complain’ and let it blow over. They will just quietly forget it now. I don’t think there are going to be any lawsuits being filed,” a friend of the royals told a publication.

This is despite previous reports that suggested the British monarchy’s attorneys were “considering all options” when it came to pursuing a potential lawsuit against Scobie and company.

“I think anyone who knows Charles knows he is not a racist,” the monarch’s pal continued before adding, “But if there are these nuances, then you just wonder whether the appropriate place to raise the issue was with Oprah.”

The book’s Dutch “translation error” named Charles III and the Princess of Wales as not one but two senior royals who allegedly questioned Prince Archie’s potential skin color while Meghan Markle was pregnant. The Duchess of Sussex famously mentioned that only one monarchy member was the supposed culprit during her and Prince Harry’s 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview.

But over two weeks after the revelation was revealed, it seems that people have come to take Omid Scobie’s claims with a pinch of salt. “This is over. The book has been pulped. Nobody cares,” a former palace courtier dished.

Every day of the week people write acres of nonsense about them, and the reaction is always the same; don’t dignify it with a response, just keep on doing the job and let actions speak louder than words,” a friend of Kate and Prince William’s further added.

Harry and Meghan have also refused to comment on the allegations made against their family members in the book. This is despite the former actress cooperating with Scobie on his 2020 book, Finding Freedom, which also criticized the monarchy.

The author is holding firm that he had nothing to do with the supposed copy error that led to the reemergence of the “royal racist” scandal in the media.

No, it’s serious because I feel hurt by some of the things I’ve seen that have suggested a conspiracy theory, that this is some kind of publicity stunt, and ‘I’m in cahoots with my pal [Meghan]’ and nonsense like that because it feeds into something that couldn’t be further from the truth,” Scobie spilled in an interview.

“Having only written and edited the English version of Endgame, I can only comment on that manuscript, which does not name the two individuals who took part in the conversation. I’m happy to hear that the error in the translation of the Dutch edition book is being fixed,” the author previously told an outlet when discussing the error.
