Sarah Ferguson is reportedly urging her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, to keep their distance from her and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
According to OK! Magazine, the former Duchess of York wants her daughters to avoid being affected by their troubles.
This comes as reports suggest Andrew is said to spend most of his time playing golf, getting absorbed in computer games and sharing unusual theories, leaving staff worried about his behaviour.
Meanwhile, Fergie feels burdened by administrative work as she has to remove the word “Duchess” from business documents.
Among all this, Ferguson is said to be troubled by what will happen to her daughters if they do not distance themselves from this controversy.
“The mood has turned glum in the household,” a friend told the publication. “Relatives are truly worried about them, and the girls have been told to keep their distance for their own emotional safety and to protect their own brands.”
The report suggested that the members of the royal family are worried about Andrew and Fergie’s mental health amid fears of suicide.
However, a source quipped that the troubled couple “are enough of a burden alive” on the royal family.
“But nobody needs them turning up dead from some kind of suicide pact, as that would be a far bigger headache for the King than if they quietly disappeared abroad!” they added.
