Princess Anne makes a heartwarming comment about Kate Middleton after her…
Princess Anne, who is often known as the dedicated and hardworking senior member of the royal family, shared a few words in praise of the future Queen, Kate Middleton.
The Princess of Wales had to persevere through the intense media scrutiny before she even became a member of the royal family. Most recently, Kate had to overcome the rumour mill which began during her absence as she dealt with her cancer diagnosis.
Anne once expressed that Kate is the “most dignified Princess she has even seen” and the “diligence with which she fulfils her duties is worthy of the deepest respect.”
The words of praise came from the Princess Royal in her documentary released in 2020, Anne: The Princess Royal at 70, to mark her birthday.
King Charles’ only sister also acknowledged the hardships that Kate has had to endure and will continue to do so once she takes on the future role of a Queen.
The pressure that is applied to the younger members of the family, it’s always worse,” Anne said in the doc. “That’s what the media is interested in. That’s hard sometimes to deal with.”
She continued, “But there was no social media in my day, and it’s probably made it more difficult. With online technology… being in touch is one thing but it’s not quite the same. The ability to meet people, that’s what makes the difference.”
The resurfaced interview comes as Kate is planning to make a “few subtle shifts,” per a style expert, as she returns to public duties.
“As she returns to the public eye, I expect her to stick to the brands that have become her signature, but with perhaps a few subtle shifts to reflect her evolving role,” expert Nguyen Huy told GB News.
It remains to be seen what Kate as in store for her upcoming engagements.
