Camilla plotted against Kate: Kate Middleton details the pain from Prince William’s brea…

According to Christopher Andersen, author of the book Game Of Crowns: Elizabeth, Camilla, Kate, And The Throne, Camilla wanted Wills to split with “pretty but dim” Kate – largely due to her lack of royal blood.

The Sun reports that the two have always had a rocky relationship, deeming her “too lowly” to marry into the royal family, so much so that she is said to have asked Prince Charles to convince his son to end things.

Anderson says it was Kate’s growing popularity the threatened Camilla, who was worried the public would love her and Wills more than herself and Charles.

While the pair did split briefly in April 2007, it’s unclear if Camilla’s comments had anything to do with it. The break-up was short-lived, however, with the couple back together by June.

The dramatic circumstances behind William and Kate’s brief breakup has been detailed by a friend of William. The things could have been very different for the couple’s budding romance in the early days of their relationship.

Things took a turn when King Charles’ eldest son William unexpectedly canceled their New Year’s Eve plans that year, signaling trouble. Shortly after, the Prince called Kate and broke up with her, citing the need for “a bit of space” and uncertainty about a proposal.

Jobson’s new book “Catherine, the Princess of Wales” reveals: “In an emotionally charged 30-minute conversation, they both acknowledged they were on ‘different pages.”

However, William was said to be in tears after seeing Kate letting loose and having a blast on her nights out without him after their break-up in 2007.

Kate was once the centre of attention in London’s party scenes and had guys like Charles Morshead and Henry Ropner by her side. However, they were just ‘mates’.

A friend of William, at the time, described how the royal was feeling seeing Kate partying without him, saying: “Even if they were just pals, it was difficult for William seeing Kate out, letting her hair down on the arms of other men. He increasingly began to realise how much he missed her company.”

Following the pics, it emerged that the once estranged couple were quickly hanging out together again and decided to rekindle the flame just two months after calling it quits, according to the Mirror.

At a bash celebrating the end of his military course, William was then seen planting a smooch on Kate that set the room on fire. As the party wound down, the prince pulled Kate close for an intimate moment.

One person revealed: “William didn’t care that people were looking. At midnight, he started kissing her. They just couldn’t keep their hands off each other. His friends were joking that they should get a room together.”

A senior royal insider revealed: “The relationship may look to have run its course to those on the outside. But to those who know William best, it is still clear he loves her very much indeed.”

And a pal close to Kate shared: “She knows if they do get back together permanently, there’ll be no turning back. There will have to be an engagement and then marriage.

Finally, William and Kate’s rekindled romance led to an engagement in 2010 and a grand wedding at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011.
