Carlos Alcaraz warns tennis fans to leave his brother alone: I don’t really like…

Carlos Alcaraz has demanded tennis fans leave his brother Jaime alone and allow him the space to flourish in his own way. The blockbuster star has one older brother, Alvaro, and two younger brothers, Sergio and Jaime.

Alcaraz has become one of the best tennis players in the world in recent years and triumphed at the French Open and Wimbledon in the summer.

The 21-year-old already has four Grand Slams to his name after winning the US Open as a teenager in 2022 and clinching his first Wimbledon title last year.

Jaime, who is 13 years old, won a Rafa Nadal Tour under-12s heat last summer, seven years after his older brother had tasted success on the same circuit.

The young star has continued to impress on the tennis court this year and has been tipped to follow in his brother’s footsteps.

And the world No. 2 explained during this week’s Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia: “Yeah he plays well, I’m not gonna lie. He’s getting to a really good level.

But honestly there are a lot of people around, a lot of videos and accounts from social media that are saying that he’s going to be similar to his brother. And I don’t really like that you know in that way.

“I just want all the people or all the social media to just leave him alone because he plays well but it’s not the best.

“So for me, I’m a little bit worried for the people who are around him during the tournament that they’re gonna go to watch him because he’s my brother and then he’ll probably put pressure on himself.

So, let’s see how he’s gonna handle it. I’ll be there for him for sure. He loves tennis and every time he can, he goes to court – he asks my father to go to the court and hit some balls. For me that’s great, that he loves playing tennis and let’s see if he’s gonna get better and better and hopefully one year I’ll play against him.

Alcaraz is clearly an inspiration to his sibling and will surely have already provided him with all the inside knowledge of how to succeed in the game.

And discussing his role as an older brother during an interview with the Sunday Times in the summer, the ace said: “I love tennis but I love even more being the older brother of my little ones – being the role model for them, not as a tennis player but a person. That is the most important thing – to help them learn about the things that matter in life.
