Princess Kate holds key meeting today amid plans for her return at special event

Princess Kate held a key meeting today amid plans for her return at a special event close to her heart.

The meeting which was held at Windsor Castle this morning, discussed plans for the royal’s appearance at her Christmas Carol Service which will take place later this year at Westminster Abbey.

This year will be the fourth Carol Service the Princess of Wales has hosted.

The Carol Service television programme will air on ITV on Christmas Eve.

During the meeting, the Princess of Wales was joined by members of her team and representatives from the Royal Foundation.

Kate has been working from home and attending meetings with her Kensington Palace during the summer.

Last week, the Princess of Wales undertook a meeting in Windsor with her team at the Centre for Early Childhood.
It comes as Princess Kate revealed that she would return to work this year in an emotional video message released earlier this month.

The Princess of Wales stepped back from working royal duties to focus on her health after she was diagnosed with cancer.

Kate had been undergoing preventative chemotherapy but confirmed in the video released on September 9 2024 that she had completed her treatment.
The royal also outlined that she hopes to undertake several engagements before the new year.

Kate said: “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family
Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”

She continued: “Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.

“I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.
