Omid Scobie Strikes Again: Kate Middleton ‘Incredibly Worried’ About Upcoming…
Prince William is trying to “reassure” Kate, Princess of Wales, that there is nothing to worry about regarding Sussex “lapdog” Omid Scobie’s new fictionalized series Royal Spin.
“The synopsis of the show mirrors Meghan and Harry’s story while hiding behind the guise of a fictional drama, and Kate is incredibly worried about potential storylines,” an insider spilled to a publication.
William has of course assured her that the public will see straight through it, just like always,” they added.
Scobie is the scribe of two bestselling books about the Sussex duo — 2020’s Finding Freedom, which he co-authored with Carolyn Durand, and last autumn’s salacious Endgame.
His new show is an adaptation of his upcoming fiction book of the same name, co-written with young adult novelist Robin Benway. The series will delve into the chaotic world of the Buckingham Palace Press Office, centering on an American political strategist who is brought in to help manage the royal family’s public image amid scandals and internal conflicts.
It will explore themes of culture clashes, rigid royal protocols, and the protagonist’s personal growth as she navigates the complexities of the British monarchy. Scobie will serve as an executive producer on the program, but a network has not been announced yet.
The queen-in-waiting was said to be upset that she was named as one of two “royal racists” in the “translation error” of the Dutch edition of Endgame last November.
“Kate was 100 percent not one of the people who discussed it. She is saddened that her name got pulled into this because she had nothing to do with it,” a source spilled then.
This has closed the door on any reconciliation with Meghan as far as Kate is concerned. She has had enough of Meghan’s antics and wants absolutely nothing to do with her. She will never make up with her,” the source added.
Even though there is no evidence to suggest the Duchess of Sussex had anything to do with Scobie’s book, it is believed the future queen blames Meghan for causing the uproar in the first place. The former actress and Prince Harry infamously sat down with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 for an interview. At one point in the tell-all, the Duchess emotionally tells the media mogul that an unnamed senior royal asked her what color Prince Archie’s skin would be when he was born.
Racism was strongly implied in the revelation, as she told the former talk show host that naming the person “would be very damaging for them.”
Harry then later told Winfrey: “That conversation I’m never going to share. But at the time, it was awkward. I was a bit shocked. I’m not comfortable sharing it.”
