A major point of contention between the two reportedly occurred four days before Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry. It’s said that a disagreement regarding bridesmaid dresses led to Princess Kate making Meghan cry.

However, during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan revealed that it was actually the other way around, Kate had made her cry.

Harry’s memoir Spare further detailed the incident, where he found Meghan in tears after an argument with Kate over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.

According to the book, Kate expressed concerns about the dress and suggested that all the bridesmaid outfits needed to be completely redone.
