Princess Kate “means more to James Middleton than an Instagram post”, the younger brother of the Princess of Wales has stated.
James, 37, has written a new book titled “Meet Ella”, where he has opened up about his two older sisters, his parents and his mental health journey
In a new interview to promote the book, the father-of-one explained the love he has for his older sister, Princess Kate.
He said: “We are a close family. It is always important to have support around you and not do things alone.
Sharing it does help bring people together.”
He continued to tell People Magazine: “My love and support for my family is more than just an Instagram post.”
The Instagram post which James mentioned was made after Kate announced she was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
The Princess of Wales made a video from her home in Adelaide Cottage in March where she announced she was beginning a course of preventative chemotherapy.
James subsequently took to social media with a childhood post of himself and his older sister.
He captioned the post: “Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together.
“As a family, we will climb this one with you too.”
Earlier this month, Kate confirmed she had completed her chemotherapy treatment.
She released a new video that featured Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton.
In the video, Kate described how difficult the past nine months had been for her family and expressed “relief” at completing her course of treatment.
She said: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.”
Kate added: “Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus.
