Just In: Princesses Beatrice, Eugenie receive clear message from Prince William about future
Prince William has taken a firm stance even if he risks his relationship with cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, as tensions at the Palace show no signs of easing.
The Prince of Wales has been a key player in the big changes that have been taking place in the former York household. Earlier this month, the future king finally managed to convince his father King Charles to take a stricter action for the disgraced royal, Prince Andrew.
William, who has already earned a reputation for being “tough ruler”, is focussed on the “protection of the monarchy” even if he has to make some difficult decisions, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams.
Amid the ongoing public scrutiny amid the ongoing furore surround Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Fitzwilliams told GB News that William is looking at an “institution that’s in danger of being degraded by all this farce”.
He would one day have to take charge of the reign and he is already taking measures to fix the biggest problems that have been plaguing it.
Sources have previously shared that Prince William understands that it is unfair to his cousins that they are becoming collateral damage because of the shameful actions of their parents.
Even though William has been heavily involved in key Palace matters, he and his family have maintained a low-profile. It is also important to note that they are merely a week away from shifting into their new home, Forest Lodge.
As Andrew and Fergie are ousted from royal life, Beatrice and Eugenie will not be offered a working royal position any time soon. However, the sisters would be invited to all family events. An invitation to the annual Christmas gathering at Sandringham is also extended to them, it remains to be seen if they will be attending this year.
