Princess Kate replaced her sapphire engagement ring with a new jewel as the royal issued an important health update.
The Princess of Wales announced she had finished her chemotherapy treatment in a three-minute video filmed in Norfolk last month.
Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, all made cameo appearances in the emotional video, as did Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton.
In the video, released on Monday, the Princess of Wales said: “Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.
William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time.”
Eagle-eyed royal fans noticed a new piece of jewellery on Kate’s ring finger, replacing her sapphire engagement ring.
One fan wrote on social media: “The new ring again… definitely a William present.”
The new eternity band was first spotted earlier this summer in a video shared by William and Kate to congratulate Team GB following the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Kate, who paired her new ring with a simple Ralph Lauren top, joined William and American rapper Snoop Dogg to celebrate Team GB’s Olympic achievements.
The princess said: “From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB.”
William, who was sporting a new beard, added: “Well done on all you’ve achieved, you’ve been an inspiration to us all.”
In the Princess of Wales’s new video released on Monday, she wore a simple floral dress from Veronica Beard.
This is a brand also loved by Meghan Markle, who wore several items from the designer label during her recent Colombia tour with Prince Harry.
In the clip, Kate said: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.
“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family.
“Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.
