Breaking News: Princess Kate, Prince William give emotional tribute on ‘baby loss’

Kensington Palace shared an update from the Prince and Princess of Wales as they marked a heartbreaking tribute for a big loss.

Prince William and Kate Middleton, who are parents to 12-year-old Prince George, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte and a seven-year-old Prince Louis, are well-known as doting and protective parents.

The couple have boldly moved away from many royal traditions for the sake of their children, hence it came as no surprise as they shed light on an important cause.

On Wednesday, October 15, the couple shared a “Wave of Light” candle in solidarity with Baby Loss Awareness Week, which is also a globally recognised event dedicated to parents who have lost their babies after birth and during pregnancies.

Around the world, people light a candle on their window sill and leave it burning for at least an hour to remember all those little ones who left the world too soon – representing how the babies had lit up their lives even if it was for a brief time.

Princess Kate has been a big supporter of the charity Tommy, which provides support to bereaved parents while also making efforts to reduce rates of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth.

The future Queen had made an emotional visit to show support back in 2020 during the Baby Loss Awareness Week, and was visibly moved to tears listening to accounts of families who have suffered the painful loss of a child.

The Waleses have continued to show support by lighting a candle, and this time around, the charity lauded the efforts made by the William and Kate as they continue to shed light on the matter.
