Kensington Palace surprises Prince William, Princess Kate fans with major update

Prince William and Princess Kate began a secret journey to perform a series of key engagements, Kensington Palace confirmed.

As reported by The Mirror, the Prince and Princess of Wales are on an unannounced trip to Northern Ireland, marking Catherine’s first visit to the country in three years.

According to Kensington Palace, William and Kate “will spend the day visiting innovative organisations that showcase growth and investment in rural areas and demonstrate entrepreneurial and creative opportunities for young people.”

It is important to note that the future Queen will be undertaking royal duties in Northern Ireland after her cancer treatment.

Notably, Prince William visited the country last November to highlight his meaningful initiative, the Homewards initiative, aiming to end homelessness.

William and Kate last made it to the headlines due to their joint appearance in Southport, showcasing their support for the devastated community of a fatal knife attack which took place in 2024.

After their trip, the couple released an emotional statement, which reads, “A deeply moving visit to Southport remembering Alice, Bebe and Elsie.”

To see firsthand how the community, their schools and families have come together in the face of such loss – creating spaces of love, connection and hope – was incredible.
