A Sussex source has reportedly shed light on the “real” reason why Prince Harry has previously gone down the route of spilling private royal details.

Since stepping down as a senior working royal in 2020, the Duke, 39, lost the right to close protection in the UK. But he and wife Meghan have also given rare insights into life behind palace walls in interviews, and the prince’s infamous book, Spare.

As reports suggest the Duke of Sussex could be eyeing up a potential UK return, and how that could go down with his estranged brother, people have long suggested the tell-all theme should be dropped by Harry and Meghan to rebuild trust with King Charles and Prince William.

But, as reported by the Telegraph, a souce from the Sussex camp told PEOPLE that it would be “swords down” in interviews if the decision was made to restore his security. Until then it would remain the case as the couple need to fund their security themselves.

Discussing the lawsuit regarding his security, Harry’s friends also claim that Meghan wishes that Harry would “let go” of his lawsuits and went on to “live in the moment.

Prince Harry and Meghan now reside in the US with their two children, five-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet.
