Prince Harry has ruled out an imminent return to the UK on a permanent basis, according to well-placed sources.
The Duke of Sussex moved to the US via a short spell in Canada in 2020 after stepping down as a working royal.
Harry was reported to be planning his reintegration into his social circles in London after becoming unsettled in Montecito.
Prince Harry walked away from his role in the monarchy alongside his wife Meghan Markle nearly five years ago
The couple live in the US with their two young children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
However, well-placed sources have quashed reports that Harry will consider returning to the UK.
It is understood that concern over his and his family’s security remains an issue.
The Duke of Sussex has been open about his desire to be provided with a higher level of security when visiting the country of his birth.
Harry recently said he would not bring back Meghan Markle to the UK while his security provision remained at its current level.
Meghan Markle has not visited the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022.
Princess Lilibet, two, was born in the US and has only made one trip to the country of Harry’s birth.
One of the Duke of Sussex’s friends had devised a plan for Harry’s return, according to the Mail.
A source told the publication: “He has put together a blueprint and will show it to Harry if and when there’s an appropriate moment.
“This person believes there is a real chance Harry could even carry out very low-key royal duties again one day.”
However, Harry undertaking any royal duties as a part-time working royal is highly unlikely.
The Duke of Sussex remains in a bitter feud with his brother and heir to the throne Prince William.
