King Charles, Prince William set strict rule for Harry, Meghan

Royal family has set a strict rule for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over ‘fear’ of being called out ‘fake.’

King Charles and Prince William have decided not to publicly extend birthday greetings to the former working royals as the Firm and the Montecito couple are not on good talking terms.

As the Duchess of Sussex is all set to celebrate her 43rd birthday, several speculations have started about whether the key royal figures will remember the Duchess of Sussex on her special day.

However, in 2023, Historian, writer and broadcaster, Tessa Dunlop told OK! Magazine that the royals decided to avoid releasing public statements for Harry and his family to mark their birthdays after the release of Spare and their controversial statements against the British family.

She said, “I just think that they probably felt it looked a bit fake, given the whole world knows they’re not really speaking much.”

“It would have looked disingenuous and insincere,” Tessa shared.

It is pertinent to mention that the last time key royal figures including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Kate Middleton and Prince William, extended birthday wishes to Meghan was in August 2022, before Queen Elizabeth’s death.
