Harry and Meghan appear in bombshell new TV interview

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have sat down for an interview with American show CBS to discuss cyber abuse.

Speaking to host Jane Pauley, Harry said that parents have to be the “first responders”, and added that it is “terrifying” that many parents are unsure of the telltale signs of “possible suicide.

The interview will appear on CBS’s Sunday morning show three years on from their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey
Throughout the new clip, Meghan and Harry also speak about how parents need to protect children from online harm- all whilst reflecting on their own experiences with their two young children.

Speaking of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Meghan said: “Our kids are young, they’re three and five, they’re amazing, but all you want to do as parents is protect them.”
And so as we can see what’s happening in the online space, we know that there’s a lot of work to be done there and we’re just happy to be able to be a part of change for good.

The interviewer then asked the couple: “You hope that when your children ask for help, someone is there to give it” to which the father of two replied that it is only you, as parents, “if you know to help”.
He said: “At this point we’ve got to the stage where almost every parent needs to be a first responder.

“And even the best first responders in the world wouldn’t be able to tell the signs of possible suicide. That is the terrifying piece of this
The new clip, which was shared this afternoon, was released as well as an announcement that the couple plan to visit Colombia this year.

Although it remains unknown when the visit will take place, it is expected to take place later this year upon the pair’s acceptance of an invitation from the country’s president Francia Marquez.

Ms Marquez’s office said that the couple will “experience the rich heritage of Colombia” and will help “illuminate Columbia’s role as a beacon of culture and innovation”.
