Royal Family LIVE: Prince Harry ready to end royal rift, but only on one condition
Prince Harry would consider putting his “swords down” and ending the rift with the Royal Family, as long as one important matter is solved, claims a source.
Despite a positive meeting between Harry and his father, King Charles, following the announcement of his cancer diagnosis back in February, those close to Harry say the monarch is no longer taking Harry’s calls.
A source has told People Magazine Harry would make amends if one particular issue could be remedied and he could receive proper security for himself and his family during visits to the UK.
They said nothing “would give [Harry] more happiness than being able to rekindle his bond with his father. At the end of the day, you can’t undo bloodlines”.
They continued: “He’s not asking his dad for a nicer house or nicer cars. He’s asking because of the reality of the situation. He is at risk.”
Harry has been fighting for four years to overturn the 2020 decision to remove his family’s round-the-clock police protection team, which happened when he stepped down as a working royal. He has argued that the UK is not safe for himself, Meghan, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet without police protection.

Real reason King Charles was ‘so hurt’ by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s actions
Royal correspondent Robert Jobson has claimed that Prince Harry’s decision to leave the Royal Family behind for a life in the US with wife Meghan Markle hurt King Charles the most, due to his longstanding closeness with his youngest son.
In Jobson’s new book, Catherine, the Princess of Wales: The Biography: Discover the truth behind the headlines, it has also been revealed that Charles “tried to reach out to Meghan and treated her with the same love and affection as he did Catherine”.
The author further states that the King “welcomed her with open arms”, making the events following Megxit even more of a bitter pill to swallow for the monarch.
Prince Harry and Prince William’s rift is ‘very bad’ but not ‘irreparable’
As tensions continue to simmer between Prince Harry and brother Prince William, the Duke’s relationship with the royal family is finally at breaking point.
Amid a tense year for the royal family as it battles with ongoing health issues, Harry’s attempt to reach out to both his father King Charles and older brother William have been met with silence, with texts, calls and letters all reportedly having gone ignored.
The rift with Prince William is “very bad,” a royal insider told PEOPLE, but it’s not “irreparable.”
The warring brothers last met in September 2022, when they were joined by their respective wives Kate, Princess of Wales and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex to meet with mourners outside Windsor Castle following the death of her majesty The Queen.
