Prince George and Prince William will be prohibited from flying together on the same plane due to safety protocols.
Angela Levin, speaking to GB News, expressed that it’s “really sad” that as Prince George turns 11 today, he will soon have to follow strict travel protocols when he turns 12.
This means he only has a year left to enjoy flying on the same plane as his father, Prince William. Traditionally, the rule that two heirs cannot fly together aims to protect the line of succession.
Levin told Eamonn Holmes and Ellie Costello that given George’s close relationship with his father, this is a sad reality to bear.
“When he gets to 12, he can’t fly in the same plane as his father”, he said.
“You can’t have two heirs to the throne in the same plane, and I think that is very sad. He has got to enjoy it very much, while he still can.”
The young royal is having two parties to celebrate his birthday, Levin added on GB News.
“He is having two parties, one in London with family and friends”, she said. And then a big one later with all of his school friends.”
The oldest of the Wales children has been “very shy” in his early life, according to Angela Levin, but she feels the future monarch has shown signs that he is coming out of his shell.
She said: “What is interesting about him is, he has been very shy. Charlotte has sort of overwhelmed him because she is amazing for her age.
“I think he is coming out of that shell and he is much more at ease with himself. He loves anything to do with sport.
“William loves him and I think they are a great comfort to each other in these difficult times.”
Kensington Palace today shared a new photograph of the young royal to mark his 11th birthday. The photo was taken by his mother, Princess Kate, this year.
The Palace’s social media account posted the image alongside the caption: “Wishing Prince George a very happy 11th birthday today.”
Kate regularly takes photos of her family and shares them on social media to mark birthdays and special occasions.
