F1 LIVE: Lewis Hamilton ‘frustration’ revealed as Max Verstappen left fuming with rival
Charles Leclerc has revealed that frustrations needed to be aired during Thursday’s meeting with Lewis Hamilton and team principal Frederic Vasseur. Speaking after Friday’s two free practice sessions, he said: “I think discussing whatever is left, or whatever frustration is left, was needed. Now I feel it’s fully settled, and I don’t think we should be speaking about it too much going forward.
On the track, Max Verstappen was left fuming with Lance Stroll during this weekend’s first free practice session after the Aston Martin driver appeared to break an unwritten paddock rule. The four-time world champion was practising a launch off the line after taking the chequered flag, only for Stroll’s car to appear on the right of his Red Bull, with Verstappen asking over the team radio: “What is that Aston doing? He’s just overtaking.”

Max Verstappen left fuming with rival
Max Verstappen was left fuming with Lance Stroll during yesterday’s first free practice session after the Aston Martin driver appeared to break an unwritten ‘gentleman’s run’.
The four-time world champion said over the team radio “What is that Aston doing?” when Stroll appeared to the right of his Red Bull after having already taken the chequered flag. Verstappen had turned his attention to practicing a launch off the line, but the Canadian had other ideas, with Verstappen adding in response: “He’s just overtaking”. His race engineer Tom Hart also saw what happened, replying: “Yeah, saw that, Max, not sure what he’s up to.”
Lewis Hamilton ‘frustration’ revealed
Charles Leclerc believes that frustrations needed to be released during Thursday’s meeting with Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari before this weekend’s Brazilian Grand Prix. Speaking after yesterday’s practice sessions, he said:
It was really good to discuss all together. Obviously, for me, it’s been a bit of a crazy week, and positively, because I became a father for the first time, so we didn’t necessarily have time to discuss. I think discussing whatever is left, or whatever frustration is left, was needed. Now I feel it’s fully settled, and I don’t think we should be speaking about it too much going forward.
