Real reason Kate Middleton’s Wimbledon Appearance Will Be Her Last for a While revealed
What time is it? Well, for Kate Middleton, it’s summertime, because apparently the princess is officially on vacation. Following her standing ovation-receiving Wimbledon appearance, royal sources revealed that Middleton is now on “summer break” and will be taking a pause from public engagements for a bit.
Now that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are out of school, royal sources told Vanity Fair that Middleton and her husband, Prince William, are planning on staying “below the radar” at their Norfolk home as she continues her preventative chemotherapy. Other insiders added that the family will not be traveling abroad, but they do plan to join King Charles and Queen Camilla in August at Balmoral in Scotland.
The outlet reports that Middleton’s attendance at Wimbledon will likely be her last public appearance until later this year.
The famed tennis tournament marked Middleton’s second engagement of the year, as she has been laying low all year amid her cancer treatment. In June, Middleton made her return to royal duties at the 2024 Trooping the Colour alongside her family, including her husband and their three kids.
This time out of the spotlight has reportedly served the couple well who are said to have grown “closer than ever” in the recent months, per Us Weekly. A source also told OK! that Middleton is “genuinely touched” by how Prince William has stepped up as a husband and a father during her treatment.
“He’s shouldered a lot of the responsibilities, and, what’s more, he seems to be having fun doing it,” the insider said. “Kate has seen the change, and she’s genuinely touched by all that he’s doing, not just for her, but for the children.
