“You should be ashamed of yourself” – Jannik Sinner fans furious as journalist reveals private details about Italian’s love life
Jannik Sinner’s personal life has become a centre of conversation, with a substack post suggesting that he had been cheating on his girlfriend Laila Hasanovic. His fans were quick to jump to his defence, accusing the writer behind the post of invading the World No. 1’s privacy.
The controversy stems from a post claiming that Sinner had slid into the DM’s of a beauty queen. He has officially been dating Hasanovic since October 2025.
The Italian’s fans were quick to express outrage at the post, calling the writer out for the invasion of privacy. Many of them accused him of trying to profit by sharing personal details from the tennis player’s life.
Others were quick to note that Sinner’s personal life did not interest them and they would rather focus on his professional career.
“You should be ashamed of yourself for sticking your nose into other people’s lives to make money from them,” an X user wrote.
“It’ll be his own business what a 24-year-old Sinner does in his private life,” another added.
“So what? His private life interests us, whereas you’ve latched onto him like a cat on hot coals, go back to gossiping about Belen & Co. instead—that’s way better,” a third user suggested.
A fan accused the writer of harbouring a grudge against the Italian for being denied an interview, while another believed that the gossip was beneath Sinner.
“Forget about Sinner… it’s not the kind of gossip for his taste,” an X post read.
“He refused you a one-on-one interview and you react like this hahahaha what a shame,” another added.
