Just In: Kim Kardashian Considering Buying an F1 Team Less Than a Year Into Her Romance With Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton‘s passion for racing is rubbing off on Kim Kardashian, so much so that a source says she’s now dreaming of owning an F1 team.
“Lewis is under contract with Ferrari until the end of 2027, but after that he’s free to do what he wants and Kim would like them to start their own team,” the source explains to In Touch. “She wants to immerse herself in his world and what better way to get into racing than to buy a team?”
The 2026 season saw Cadillac debut on the grid, with Reuters previously reporting that the motorsport’s governing body was interested in adding even more teams.
“Kim figures there’s no reason she can’t do it,” shares the source. “She’s got the money.”
Aside from having an estimated $2 billion fortune at her disposal to help make the pricey proposal happen, the Skims mogul, 45, no doubt knows a thing or two about raising funds from investors after cofounding the private equity firm Skky Partners.
“Kim really believes in Lewis,” adds the source. “She doesn’t see why he should just remain a driver — she wants him to expand his vision.”
The racing pro, 41, debuted on the F1 track back in 2007 before going on to win seven world championships. He’s currently third in this year’s driver standings following roughly eight months of dating Kardashian.
“Lewis has not shut Kim’s idea down,” says the source. “But people in his world don’t think it would be a good move for him. There’s too much financial risk.”
