“A Huge Career Breakthrough!” — Alex Eala Lands a Major Sponsorship Deal Just Days Before the US Open, Marking a Stunning New Chapter for the Filipino Tennis Sensation

Alex Eala has enjoyed a breakout year on the WTA Tour and now she is set to embark on her third-ever US Open campaign.

The 21-year-old won her first singles title in DC last month, a WTA 500 event, at the Washington Open.

She carried on her impressive form in the following two WTA 1000 tournaments, as she reached the Round of 16 and 32 in the Toronto and Cincinnati Opens, respectively.

Eala is currently one of, if not the hottest property in women’s tennis, which has led to legend John McEnroe sending a message to the USTA that they should show her on the bigger courts at the US Open due to the crowds she will attract.

This star power has seen the Filipino athlete attract a plethora of financially lucrative sponsorship offers, and now, just days out from the 2026 US Open, Eala has signed another deal, this time with Panasonic.

After reaching a career-high No. 18 in the WTA rankings, Eala has entered a new chapter as she is the newest ambassador of Panasonic Philippines.

As Eala’s career continues to grow, the 21-year-old is constantly working to improve and strive for excellence as she aims to win her first-ever Grand Slam, with the first chance of this being at the 2026 US Open.

Panasonic have stated that this commitment to growth is exactly why they have partnered with the Filipina athlete, arguing that it aligns closely with the brand’s philosophy.

As reported by the Manila Standard, Eala spoke about the partnership: “I think each match I kept improving and kept learning things about myself.

“It’s just really nice to see all the things that I have been working on off court or during training being implemented in matches.”

Alex Eala’s other sponsorship deals

The 21-year-old landed her first lucrative sponsorship deal after the Canadian Open.

Eala has been appointed the face of Marriott Bonvoy’s Asia Pacific excluding China (APEC) edition of the Tennis The World campaign.

Meanwhile, she has had a long-serving partnership with Nike, but over the last week the sports brand released their latest new player merchandise, including a black Eala T-shirt that was available for $42, with this selling out within hours.

This was an impressive feat, and it demonstrated her popularity at present as the two biggest stars in men’s tennis, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, had not sold out their merchandise.

She also has existing sponsorships with Globe Telecom, Babolat, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Milo Philippines, and Locally Juice.
