What’s Going On with Jack Draper and Andy Murray’s Partnership? Tennis Fans Left Confused as Draper Makes a Shocking Social Media Move Days After His Emotional Confession

Jack Draper, the former World No. 4 currently ranked 143rd, has made a rather sudden and shocking move on the social media front. The move comes days after the Brit made an emotional confession regarding his ongoing injury nightmare, which has derailed his 2026 tennis season.

Draper, still only 24, has long been seen as Great Britain’s greatest hope in men’s tennis since the legendary Andy Murray. However, his career so far has been hampered by recurring injury problems. Despite this, when he has played being completely fit and injury-free, Draper has shown that he can compete with the world’s best.

The three-time singles titlist who famously won last year’s Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, returned to action at the Canadian Open after missing both the Wimbledon Championships as well as the Mubadala DC Open due to a complicated internal bone bruising condition in his serving left arm. However, it was far from a comeback that the Brit would have envisioned, as he not only lost his opener in Montreal but also broke down in tears during the match.

In the aftermath of his heartbreaking Canadian Open loss and ahead of his Cincinnati campaign, Jack Draper told The Guardian:

“I was emotional because I didn’t recognise the player I was out on the court due to my injuries and due to probably the way I’ve been feeling for a long time. When you reach rock bottom like that you can come back up again. Since then I’ve practised really well, I’ve had amazing support from the people around me and you get to a point more and more of acceptance. We’ve definitely reached that acceptance phase now.”

However, the Brit didn’t fare much better in Cincinnati, as he suffered a straight-set first-round loss to Spanish youngster Martin Landaluce. More recently, his Instagram account appears to have been deleted without any explanation, which further raises concerns about his future. It also remains to be seen if he can participate at the US Open this year.
