BREAKING NEWS: Tennis Fans Left Stunned as Alex Eala Reveals Her Current Relationship Status with a Clear Message

 

Alex Eala disclosed that she is currently single, addressing speculation about her love life. The 21-year-old Filipina has made headlines for her stellar performances on the court, especially at Wimbledon.

During her run at the All England Club, the World No. 28 pulled off one of the biggest wins of the season against defending champion Iga Swiatek. Her campaign ended in the fourth round after a three-set thriller against Jasmine Paolini.

After her campaign, Eala made an appearance on the Kapamilya channel and addressed questions about her love life. The interviewer asked if she had a heartbreak off the court. Eala didn’t shy away from admitting that she had.

The interviewer then asked whether she was dating someone. Alex Eala confirmed she was not seeing anyone or seeking a relationship. However, she left the window open, so that if she was meant to be with someone, she would not back away from it.

“I’m not seeking anything at the moment, but if it happens to be, it happens to be,” Alex Eala said.

Eala also shared how she balances her personal and demanding professional life.

“Yes, I have a life outside tennis. It’s something I put effort into nurturing, because a lot of the time, especially, when I’m traveling so much for my job. I’m sure a lot of you can relate that sometimes your career can become your whole life, and the work-life balance becomes imbalanced,” she said (Via Manila Bulletin).

For Eala, one of her goals on the highly competitive tour is to forge new friendships. Eala has formed friendships on tour with Eva Lys, Victoria Mboko, and Coco Gauff.

When will Alex Eala play next?

Alex Eala is set to return at the WTA 500 Mubala DC Open in Washington, D.C. She will look to carry the form she showed on grass onto the North American hard courts.

Among her standout achievements, the young talent defeated defending champion Swiatek in the third round. She orchestrated a commanding performance to outlast the then-World No. 3 Pole. Their first tussle on grass lasted two hours and 14 minutes and brought the best out of Eala.

In the nervy first set, she edged past Swiatek in a closely fought tie-break. She stamped her authority in the second set as the defending champion toiled for momentum. Eala sealed a 7-6(9), 6-2 win to book her place in the fourth round.
