SAD NEWS: Andrew is Depressed, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie Reduced King Charles to Tears Over Andrew’s…

Around 40 royals are expected to descend on Sandringham next week to celebrate the Christmas season. King Charles, 76, and Queen Camilla, 77, will play the part of hosts after a difficult year during which the monarch and Princess of Wales have undergone cancer treatment.

But despite those health battles, it will be far from a united family gathering. Prince Harry, 40, remains in the US with his family while the Duke and Duchess of York,, 65, have decided to stay clear of proceedings due to 64-year-old Andrew’s latest scandal, this time concerning his friendship with an alleged Chinese spy.

That has also prompted his daughters Princess Beatrice, 36, and Princess Eugenie, 34, to make the decision to give Norfolk a swerve this year as well. While they always planned on spending time with their in-laws over the festive season for the first time, a trip to Sandringham was on their radar at some point.

According to the Daily Mail’s Ephraim Hardcastle column, the decision has left the King “sad”. A source said Charles “made clear that they would be more than welcome whatever their father decided to do”.

The insider reckons the King is “particularly fond” of Beatrice and Eugenie, the latter of whom remains particularly close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The monarch is said to admire the sisters’ ability to balance duty with a “normal” life and is “determined that the sins of the father shouldn’t extend to the daughters”.

However, Beatrice and Eugenie has decided to keep a low profile for the King’s sake given the most recent furore surrounding their dad. Beatrice, who is pregnant with her second child, will head to the family of husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 41, along with their daughter Sienna, 3, and Mozzi’s son from a previous relationship, Wolfie, 8.

Eugenie will spend the holidays with the family of husband Jack Brooksbank,, 38. The pair have two children, August, 3, and Ernest, 1.
