Princess Beatrice’s pal opens up after royal’s heartbreaking admission

Princess Beatrice’s pal and go-to nutritionist Gabriela Peacock has opened up after the royal’s heartbreaking admission.

The pair share a close bond, serving as godmothers to each other’s daughters. Both recently relocated to the Cotswolds, allowing them to spend more time together.

Peacock, 45, who welcomed her fourth child in January, has become a trusted voice on nutrition for the Royal Family.

She revealed that women around the age of 45 are most susceptible to weight gain. Contrary to popular belief, Peacock explained this isn’t due to a slower metabolism but rather deteriorating dietary habits as lives become busier.

They are mainly putting on weight because of their diet getting worse,” the celebrity nutritionist told the Telegraph.

Studies suggest women’s metabolism doesn’t significantly slow until after age 60.

Peacock recommends women increase their protein intake at every meal, including breakfast, to build muscle and support metabolism. She suggests eggs, yoghurt, nut butters and smoked salmon instead of pastries in the morning.

For lunch, she advises a healthy mix of lean meats, eggs, beans and nuts, while dinner should be lighter with protein and quality carbohydrates.

Peacock also recommends lifting weights and taking multivitamins to address common deficiencies.

Princess Beatrice transformed her approach to health and fitness after facing harsh criticism about her weight during her teenage years.

The 36-year-old royal once revealed she felt “crucified” by public scrutiny over her appearance.

Speaking to Variety, Beatrice explained her determination to “turn a negative into a positive” when dealing with adverse remarks about her weight and fashion choices.

The turning point in Beatrice’s fitness journey came in 2010 when she began training for the London Marathon. Reports suggest she shed an impressive two stone prior to the demanding 26.2-mile race.

This marked the beginning of her commitment to a healthier lifestyle, moving away from the weight struggles that had plagued her earlier years.

Nadya Fairweather, one of Beatrice’s trainers, played a pivotal role in preparing the princess for her marathon challenge.

“She wanted to build up her stamina and just make exercise a part of her life,” Fairweather told People magazine.

The trainer praised Beatrice’s unwavering dedication, adding: “We train whatever the weather and she never cancels – she’s pretty hardcore.”

Today, the princess reportedly maintains her healthy physique through a consistent fitness routine that includes exercising three to five times weekly.

Her regimen emphasises staying well-hydrated and consuming plenty of fruits and vegetables.

This disciplined approach has helped Beatrice maintain the healthy lifestyle she established after her marathon training.
