royal author has given fresh insight into what Queen Camilla really thinks about the Princess of Wales. The relationship between the two royal women has been discussed plenty of times by royal watchers.
However, not many could give a definite answer as to what the two are like with each other behind closed doors. Various interactions between the two have been decoded by lip readers. But now a royal author had delved into the bond between the two women and how the Queen feels towards her stepdaughter-in-law.
Writer Christopher Anderson, who released his new book this month, titled Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen, told the Daily Express that the King and the Princess’s close bond has been a catalyst for Camilla’s perception of the royal.
He said: “Camilla has been jealous of [Catherine]. But that has changed dramatically since Charles’s cancer diagnosis, which, amazingly, happened at virtually the same moment that [Catherine] received a word that she too was suffering from cancer.
“The King and the Princess of Wales have bonded over their shared cancer journey.
“There is genuine affection between them, and they’re not afraid to show it publicly. There’s a lot of hugging, kissing on the cheek, and most importantly, laughter.”
The author added: “Camilla is just so grateful that [Catherine] has the power to cheer up the King.”
Earlier this year, during the ceremonial welcome of the Nigerian President during his state visit to the UK, the princess was caught giving a three-word compliment to the Queen.
Lip reader Nicola Hickling has deciphered what the princess said to the Queen.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Ms Hickling told the Daily Express that Catherine said: “Good morning, how are you?”
She then gave Camilla a telling, three-word message: “You look beautiful.
